BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — At about 8:40 a.m., on Friday, an SUV driving north on I-75 near just after Bonita Beach Road, hit a 200-pound black bear attempting to cross the roadway.
The driver, a 23-year-old man from Hialeah reported no injuries.
The black bear was pronounced deceased on scene.
Emergency crews are responding to a crash on I75 northbound between Immokalee and Bonita Beach Road.
The crash is involving a bear and a vehicle.
FHP says the bear is deceased.
There are no other reported injuries at this time.
